IIO ANNOUNCES CHARGES RECOMMENDED FOR AT LEAST 3 CAMPBELL RIVER RCMP OFFICERS IN THE KILLING OF JARED LOWNDES

On December 1, 2022 the Independent Investigations Office of BC announced that Chief Civilian Director Ronald J. MacDonald, KC, reviewed the evidence in the killing of Jared Lowndes and determined that reasonable grounds exist to believe that three officers may have committed offences in relation to various uses of force.
